I bought one of these cards three years ago and it has been a great coupled with Windows Xp media center. The remote that comes with it will NOT work with Media Center without a hassle and some technically complicated third party software so I just use a media center remote with it. I did get the remote to work with Media Center using the previously mentioned third party software but I just couldn’t get all of the functions to work. Too bad too because the RF aspect of the remote works very well unlike my IR media center remote. If you don’t have the “Media Center” version of Xp you will need to install the Catalyst program that comes with the card(included remote is designed to work with Catalyst). If you have have media center just install the drivers for the card and go. After three years of using this card I threw a second one in the same media center computer and three years later the same drivers applied the the second card perfectly and I could instantly record two channels at once without going into any settings within media center. I don’t have any experience with the Catalyst program but if you have Media Center you can’t go wrong here.
